Objet Geometries Unveils New 3D Printer

Objet Geometries Ltd., a specialist in innovative 3D printing technology, has unveiled its latest rapid prototyping and manufacturing system, the Eden260V™ printer. This product offers unprecedented flexibility in the use of available printing materials.

Similar to Objet’s other Eden systems, the Eden260V creates highly accurate models with extremely fine details and smooth surfaces. The new system is a compact machine suited for the office environment, and represents the first Objet small-footprint printer to support all of the company’s proprietary model materials. It enables designers and manufacturers to create models with a wide range of physical properties, including transparency, colour, and elasticity.

“The new Eden260V takes the flexibility and value of our 3D printers to a new level in terms of office environment and material capabilities,” says Adina Shorr, CEO of Objet Geometries.

Beta users of the new machine report that the system is fast, highly precise, and reliable. They say that the layer thickness of just 16 µm ensures prototype and rapid parts that are very accurate and smooth.

Like all other Eden systems, the Eden260V employs PolyJet™ Technology to jet photopolymer materials in those very thin layers that are cured and hardened by UV light immediately after the deposition of each. Fully cured models can be handled right away, without additional postcuring, and are ready for product testing, as well as for painting, drilling, chrome-plating, or use as moulds for tooling.
