ModuleWorks Acquires the Simulation Company HeilTech

To consolidate its position in the simulation software component market, ModuleWorks GmbH, a leading supplier of CAD/CAM modules for 3- to 5-axis tool-path generation and simulation, has acquired HeilTech. The latter company, formed in 2004, develops products for simulating and verifying NC code–based machining processes.

HeilTech’s HSVerify product is known for fast performance in simulating large tool paths for 3- to 5-axis applications. HSVerify licensees in the machine tool and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) industries now will have the benefit of expanded technology and an enhanced development effort.

Taking note of the tradition of high academic achievement and of the wealth of practical engineering knowledge in Germany, ModuleWorks managing director Yavuz Murtezaoglu says, “Heiltech is one of those companies that successfully apply academic excellence to real-world engineering problems to achieve remarkable results. Now, with the company as part of ModuleWorks, we will be able to make this technology available to customers worldwide.”
