China Metalworking/Machine Tool Show Set for November

The Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show China 2009 will be staged November 3–7 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Now in its 10th year of existence, this is southeastern China’s leading trade fair for machine tools, metalworking, and metal processing, according to Deutsche Messe AG.

A subsidiary of Deutsche Messe—Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd.—organizes the show in cooperation with a Chinese partner, Shanghai World Expo (Group). It is promoting the event’s timing as being propitious for potential exhibitors and visitors. A turnaround pint in the current global economic crisis is widely forecast to be under way by November, and the Chinese government’s package of economic stimulus measures seems already to be having an impact in China.

Though the range of exhibits at the Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show covers the gamut of metalworking and metal-processing technologies, the 2009 edition will focus a special spotlight on metalworking plus laser cutting and laser welding machines.

Noteworthy for many prospective fair participants is the fact that the Aerospace and Aviation Technology Show is scheduled at the exhibition centre concurrently with the metalworking and machine tool show. This is in addition to the Energy Show and the Industrial Automation Show, which were co-located with metalworking fair last year as well. These conveniently available ancillary trade events offer a clear opportunity for generating additional business leads at just the right moment in the international business cycle.

As before, the organizer extends to companies worldwide an invitation to exhibit within the scope of a group pavilion.

The trade show is supported by a programme of topical workshops, panel discussions, and forums.
