INDUSTRY OVERVIEW
The integrated Plastic, Printing & Packaging industries of Pakistan are expanding with the increasing use of plastic and packaging materials in various industrial sectors. This has resulted in increased imports of plastics in the country, which stood at US$ 978.2 million in 2009-10.
Moreover, extensive research and development has also been undertaken by various organizations to promote environment friendly materials such as bio-degradable and bio-available plastics. Such developments have subsequently led to numerous investment and expansion opportunities in Pakistan.
PLASTI&PACK PAKISTAN – A COMPREHENSIVE EVENT FOR THE INTEGRATED INDUSTRIES OF PLASTIC, PRINTING AND PACKAGING
The 7th Edition of the International Plastic & Packaging Industry Exhibition – PLASTI&PACK Pakistan 2010 was successfully held at the Karachi Expo Centre from 31st May to 3rd June 2010.
PLASTI&PACK Pakistan 2010 exhibited the latest technologies and machinery relating to the integrated Plastic, Printing and Packaging sectors. The event had participation of eminent business professionals of the industry along with various government officials and international visitors.
IFTECH PAKISTAN 2010
The 7th Edition of International Food & Technology Exhibition – IFTECH Pakistan 2010 was held concurrently with PLASTI&PACK Pakistan 2010. The two events have established themselves as milestones of the region in their respective sectors and have provided ample business opportunities for the industry professional’s.

The event was formally inaugurated by Mr. M. Abdul Rauf Siddiqui, Minister of Industries & Commerce, Government of Sindh.
Inaugural Address:
Mr. Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad, President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce Industry delivered the welcome address at the opening ceremony.
