The Geographical Distribution of Overseas Mould Industry
1)   Japanese mould industry
Currently, Japanese mould industry plays a leading role in the world. According to the statistics made by MITI of Japan, there are about 10,000  mould munufacturers, and 20% of them are minor enterprises, which mainly depend on the division of labor to accomplish the high quality mould design and process. Due to the perfect specialization, these minor enterprises boast for their high manufacturinglevel,making the mould that “made in Japan” become a symbol of excellent quality.
 
2)   American mould industry
There are about 7,000 mould manufacturers in the U.S, among them, 90% are minor enterprises that less than 50 stuff. Thanks to the high development of industrialization, American mould industry have become an industry of high technology and leap into the front ranks of the world. Its die steel has realized standardized production and supply, and CAD/CAE/CAM technique are widely used in the mould design and production. However, since 90s in last century, the country have to face the intense international competition, including the pressure from producing cost, time and competition.
 
3) German mould industry
Germany mould boasts for its exquisite technique and precise machine.German mould manufacturers reached a common ubderstanding: to coordinate together, exploit potentialities, encourage the spirit of innovation, thusforming a industrail overall advantage. In the intense competition, Germany have keep its strong position in the gloabal market, with a steady export rate of 33%.
A relavent statistics shows that there are about 5,000 mould manufacturers, and reaching to 480million euro in 2003.
   
4)Singapore mould industry
With a small population of 3million, Singapore attach great importance on the development of precision mould, and unveil many policies, speeding the development of the industry and the countyr’s economy.
Singapore have over 1,000 mould factories, and the annual output value reach 4.5billion RMB. The country plays a very important role in Asian mould industry. Mould manufacturers specialied in many fields, such as semiconductor encapsulation, hardware stamping mould, plastic mould, silica gel mould,etc.
