From a small workshop to a big factory with building area over 6000m2, from manufacture of electric appliance moulds such as TV moulds, refrigerator moulds, and air conditioner moulds, to auto interior and exterior decoration moulds, from a small penny to hundreds of millions fixed assets. This is Zhengli Mould, the growing small giant in Huangyan mould industry. Leaded by Huang Zhengjun, the General Manager, Zhengli now is developing very fast with China’s internalization.

From ugly duckling to swan, Zhengli has been a small giant in Huangyan mould industry.

Zhengli mould was established in 2003 in Huangyan, where there were many mould factories already. The office and workshop were in a corner of Huangyan No. 2 Mould Factory, with an area less than 100 m2. However, they had different functional departments responsible for different works at that time. Although each department only had one people, the company developed very fast. At present, Zhengli has moved to a new factory. The mordern building of oval shap is very attractive. Around the office building and workshops are green belts, a river also passes beside the factory.. this factory has an area of 6000 m2, with building area 3300 m2. Zhengli now has more than 100 staffs, 16 in design department, 6 senior engineers are the heart of design department. They have introduced high precision mould processing machine abroad and some common equipments. The mould design software valued millions has provided strong guarantee to mould quality.

During these six years, fact proved that Zhengli has made great progress. And in the financial crisis, it still kept the grow. Zhengli is like a small giant in Huangyan mould industry. How Zhengli managed to make this success?

Great Success is from Steady Accumulation

At the beginning, Zhengli mainly made electric appliance moulds. While many small companies closed down, Zhengli’s business became larger and larger. The strictness with technique and quality made Zhengli a rising star in Huangyan mould industry. Even Taoshi Mould, the biggest electric appliance mould maker then, would send some difficult mould to Huang Zhengjun. Huang Zhengjun’s pursuit for quality shocked his customers, gained customer’s trust. By chance, he got the opportunity to develop automotive plastic moulds. Automotive moulds have long making period, variety material, and are unstable, compared with electric appliance moulds which require short production time and fast delivery. At first, they only made small plastic parts mould of automotive. Then after accumulated some experience, they challenged large parts moulds, and Chang’an Auto bumper mould gave them the opportunity. They were very serious with the programe, studied hard and discussed a lot on mould structure. Finally, they got the best result that bumper mould can put into production as soon as it was ready. This mould also had been awarded the world class mould that year. Until now, Zhengli has many different technologies on bumper moulds. It laid a solid foundation for Zhengli in auto mould industry, and guided Zhengli to many other car manufacturers. Zhengli’s auto mould business were on the way from then on.

As the prosperous of China auto industry, auto mould business also take over electric appliance mould, and become Zhengli’s pillar industry. Zhengli has admitted and trained more auto mould designers. At the very beginning of a project, the company will organize a special technique team that is responsible for technology communication with customers. The joint effort of analysis and development has shortened production period and decreased the possibility for change. Zhengli now is the appointed mould supplier of GM, Wuling Motors, Chang’an, Hafei Automobile, Changhe. It also supplied moulds for FAW, Cherry, Liuzhou Motors. More and more companies are coming to inspect the factory. During internalization, Zhengli has set up cooperation with Thailand Honda, Thailand GM, and Taiwan Dongyang.

With these years exploration to auto moulds, Zhengli got its priority on cooling system and gate design. It also has core technology of sink mark, vent, and welding line, which are important to surface of bumper, door panel, and instrument board. Also with the widely use of standard mould parts, mould production time is shortened to a large extent. Bumper mould production time now in Zhengli has been reduced from 90s to 70s.

Besides electric appliance moulds and auto moulds, Zhengli is also good at household goods moulds. The exported two colour turnover box moulds have been highly recommended. On quality, technique, lead time, price, after sale service, Zhengli’s performance is also praised by customers.

The pursuit for mould technology has attracted more and more customers for Zhengli, and will be the key to international market.

Zhengli now has fame in auto mould industry. While Huang Zhengjun is not satisfied. He is thinking about surpassing Huayi and Huawei, which are the two leading auto mould manufacturers in China, and making a possession in the world market

Huang Zhengjun firmly believes that the development of a company cannot be achieved by only one person, but a team, a united team, a powerful team. He likes to work with his staff, learn from them, let them pick out his mistakes, so as to perfect his management.
